Hi there! So happy you found your way to my site! My name is Monique!
My love of art began at a very young age. I explored art in many forms but hair was my favorite thing to work on by far so once I was able, I decided to enroll in Cosmetology school. While in school I began to find a new love for makeup artistry and photography and was determined to explore these new arts as well.
After receiving my Cosmetology license, I went to work at MAC Cosmetics to gain experience and knowledge of the makeup industry. After some time with the company I decided it was time to launch my own freelance business, and so HMP was established.
HMP stands for all the services I wanted to provide my clientele; Hair, Makeup & Photography. Fast forward to now 10+ years in business and I couldn't be more grateful for where I am today! Personally, I am a wife to the love of my life and my best friend. Im a homeschool mom of 3 beautiful boys and spending my weekdays watching them learn and grow. Professionally, I am focusing my weekends on the amazing clients I am so lucky to work with and welcoming in all of the new referral clients I am so grateful for as well! I am continuing to learn and explore my passions everyday and it is my belief that a true artist, no matter the craft, should never be content in their work but should always continue to learn and grow.
Hair and makeup artistry has continued to allow me to work with my hands and create art using a makeup brush and bobby pins to enhance my clients natural beauty while photography has allowed me to create art by capturing the beauty that is present around me in life, love and laughter.
